Almighty God, our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name. Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts may the whole earth be filled with your glory! I pray, Lord, make this our end. May your word be so proclaimed by the power of the Holy Spirit not merely as my words but the very words of God. Grant us I pray, Father, mercy that we may feel some of the weight of your glory, of your holiness. Father open our eyes to see and our ears to hear. Deliver us from our dullness, I pray, for your names sake. Amen & Amen.

Almighty God, Lord of hosts, righteous, just, loving protector, provider and caregiver, you have so carefully love us and watch over us. Thank you. Lord, we confess our indifference to your love and even our outright denial of your precious love for us. We often grab up all your blessings and gives and use them for our own ambitions, aims and ends. We are quick to become greedy, indulgent, arrogant and hostile to your glorious plans, aims and ends for our lives. Restore us, O Righteous LORD God of hosts! Let your face to shine upon us that we might be saved from our own aim to be glorified and turn instead to glory in your loving name. Amen & Amen.

Almighty God, the Lord God of hosts, you are mighty, strong, sure and powerful. You are beautiful and glorious, gracious and full of mercy, steadfast love and faithfulness. Worthy are you of all worship, blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, power and might forever and ever. We confess our trust in the support and supply of this world. We are constantly setting before us worthless and empty plans, ambitions and hopes of our own making. Lord, we confess our hearts are brazen in our self-trust and independence. This is most evident in our speech and deeds. We are haughty and proud. Our shiny things are shadows. Our precious gadgets are of no help for our longing hearts. We so often find more allure in the empty things we make with our own hands than in your glory and beauty; your holiness, splendor and majesty. Lord, in your mercy this morning, grant your grace that faith and repentance may come to us this morning and wash us. May your Spirit come to judge and purge our hearts filled with all kinds of things other than God and give us a sure hope in Jesus Christ, the branch of the Lord, our beautiful Savior and strong refuge. Amen & Amen.
